I am not sad because I see a dying Jesus. I am seeing Him giving His life away for me and then defeating death by coming back to life.

No tears of sorrow.

I am not sad because I think about all the wrong things I once did. I am thinking about His forgiveness erasing all my sins.

No tears of frustration.

I am not sad because I will not keep my sins anymore. I am picturing my new life without their chains.

No tears of despair.

I am not sad because I won't be able to do whatever I want anymore, I am planning all the things I will do for my Lord, the one who died for me and keeps taking care of me to this very day.

No tears of sadness, tears of joy.
